The Women's Studies Program at Northeastern University is offering a Graduate Certificate in Women's Studies. This program is open to all matriculated graduate students in degree programs at Northeastern University. The student completing the program will be granted the certificate upon completion of their graduate degree program.

The certificate requires a total of five courses in gender studies: two core courses in theory and methodologies, and three elective courses.

Core courses:
SOC 3304 Feminist Theory
SOA/SOC 3302 Feminist Methodologies

The three electives courses may be taken in your home department so long as they are approved by the Coordinator of Women's Studies or a faculty advisor designated by the Coordinator in your home department.

Students must complete these courses with a grade of B or better in each for the courses to count toward the certificate.

One of the interdisciplinary courses offered through the Graduate Consortium in Women's Studies at Radcliffe can serve as an elective if it does not overlap significantly with courses offered at Northeastern.
