Hoffman Awards
The Hoffman Grants are intended to support Northeastern students to pursue undergraduate research projects in Linguistics and related fields. Up to two recipients will receive awards of $1200 (or more, if available) to participate in research, field studies, assist at a Linguistics laboratory or research center, attend a Linguistics Summer Institute, or complete an internship (for example, at the Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics, the Salk Institute, the Linguistics Society of America, Bell Laboratories, or Haskins Laboratories).
Applicants must submit a proposal describing the proposed project, a timetable, a budget, and a budget explanation. Two letters of recommendation and the student's transcript must accompany the proposal.
