Holocaust Awareness Committee
Visit the Holocaust Awareness Committee's website.
The Holocaust Awareness Committee at Northeastern University annually and publicly remembers the Holocaust, not only as historical fact and as a memorial to its million of victims, but also as a warning. Programs will be presented bearing witness to the Holocaust events and exploring issues arising out of the War of Extermination against Jews and other groups targeted by the Nazis, as well as applying lessons learned from the Holocaust to contemporary issues.
The activities of Holocaust Awareness are planned by the university-wide Holocaust Awareness Committee under the auspices of the University's Spiritual Life office. The sponsors include the Gustel Giessen Memorial Fund, Spiritual Life Office, History Department, Northeastern University Hillel, Office of the President, Office of the Provost, School of Law, Snell Library, Center for Interdisciplinary Studies, Jewish Studies, Vivian Rubinstein, and University College School of General Studies.
